Louis Vuitton Speedy Fleur de Jais (2010) Reference Guide

For Fall-Winter 2010 Collection the iconic canvas was again reinterpreted, this time it’s flocked and sequined with an ornate floral pattern reflecting the richly worked spirit of the collection called Fleur de Jais (French for ‘the Dark Flower’).

The iconic Speedy Fleur de Jais features an exquisite floral pattern in the flock and sparkling sequins, reminiscent of three iconic limited edition styles: Monogram Roses, Eclipse and Dentelle editions. In addition to traditional vachetta handles, the bag is also trimmed with sumptuous black calfskin leather (on the zipper/opening area) which gives this classic bag a sophisticated twist. The rest of the trimmings + Toron handles and clochette is made from vachetta. The top zipper opens to reveal a gorgeous cocoa interior with an interior pocket and the lining is signed with the Louis Vuitton Inventeur signature.

The Fleur de Jais would be an excellent addition to your Louis Vuitton collection though you will have to take particular care about sequins. This is a valuable piece in the Speedy line and you’re lucky if you find it for less than $2000.
