Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2013 collection was the first-ever where the monogram was nowhere to be seen; instead, the Damier pattern provided the House’s signature. Marc Jacobs decided to add a geometric note with lots of squares in differing colors and textures and at varying scales.

Damier Facette
An updated treatment on the Damier pattern, the Damier Facette is made with brushed shiny calf leather and a structured English frame. There is something fun and different about these bags, a bit more playful. The structured frame helps combat one of the biggest complaints about the LV Speedy, its lack of shape and gives a specific dimensionality to the bag. Available in both MM and PM in three colors.
Damier Illusion & Damier Illusion
Fleur The soft suede calf leather of the bag is embroidered using the “tuffetage” technique inspired by carpet-making to highlight with a subtle flock-like relief the Damier-pattern flower motif for the Illusion Fleur or the historic LV logo with the Illusion LV.
The bags features a two-way zipper closure with leather loop and padlock, shiny silver brass metallic hardware, tone-on-tone microfiber lining, and protective bottom studs.
Damier Cubic
The historic Damier pattern is replicated using the traditional craft of tufting, innovatively applied to embroidered calf leather, to create a 3D flocked finish that is both feminine and eye-catching.
Damier Optic Mesh
This unique Speedy tote is crafted of Louis Vuitton signature Damier in sequins and clear mesh. The bag features rolled leather top handles, squared silver links with leather anchors, leather seats and a leather base, and a wrap-around zipper lined with leather. There is a hanging clochette with a key to the padlock, which opens to a coarse off white fabric interior with a patch pocket. The historic Damier pattern is replicated in the smallest sequins ever used by Louis Vuitton, innovatively embroidered on a transparent nylon mesh, to create an airy effect that is both feminine and eye-catching.
