This Cuir Orfèvre Néo-Speedy, part of 2010 luxurious and highly limited Les Extraordinaires capsule collection (which brings special exotic editions of iconic modes in limited quantities), is an impressive demonstration of Louis Vuitton’s impeccable taste and savior-faire.
This bag is crafted entirely from sumptuously smooth and soft calfskin leather, with its doctor’s bag silhouette inspired by Louis Vuitton’s most iconic handbag, the Speedy. On its exterior, Néo-Speedy features a single top Toron handles and a neat flap secured by a golden brass S-lock – a reference to Louis Vuitton trunks – which, for the first time, is made partially covered in leather. Also, the bag comes with two leather key bells (clochette), one with Mink fur trim and one traditional. The bag is lined in supple goat leather.
Cuir Orfèvre Néo-Speedy comes in two sizes: PM (11.4”) in Grey and GM (14.5″) in Brown. This edition was also produced in Alligator leather in several colors. The Alligator version retailed for $27,300.
