HISTORY
When Louis Vuitton introduced Noé bag in 1932, no one thought it'll survive through the years and someday will be 90 years old.
In 1930s Louis Vuitton's primary specialization was travel bags. The Noé was made on demand of a champagne house that contacted LV to make a bag that would hold 6 bottles of champagne. They craved for a functional bag to carry their bottles from A to B. The bag still serves this function - 4 bottles with the bottom down and the 5th inverted and nestled between the others.
As time passed by, Noé was loved by the public and the rest is history.
NAME
The name Noé is French for Noah, who was not only famous for loading animals on the Arc two by two, but for his ability to consume wine.
SIZES
This drawstring bag comes in two sizes - the Noe, and the smaller Petit Noe. Today there are NANO NOE, NOE NM, NOE BB, and NOE.

REDESIGN
In 2017 Louis Vuitton redesigned the classic Noe bag and the Neonoe was born, one of the most popular brand's bag today.
This bag is considered to be a simplified version, it does not have any vachetta details and comes in several colors. The contrasting interior and the ease of use makes it a gem of Louis Vuitton's Monogram handbag line.
LIMITED EDITIONS AND VERSIONS
The Monogram Multicolore canvas collaboration between LV and the artist Takashi Murakami was released in 2003 by Marc Jacobs. Described as a ‘Kauai palette’ – referring to the bright, tropical-inspired colors – this canvas certainly reflected Marc Jacob’s splashier aesthetic. The Noe was released in both black & white multicolor collections.
In 2014 the limited edition Noe bag has born. The NN14 Noé ad campaign was dedicated to Marc Jacobs and five muses that inspired him through the years; they are Catherine Deneuve, Gisele Bundchen, Fan BingBing, Caroline de Maigret, Edie Campbell and do not forget his long-time friend Sofia Coppola. Because the Noé bag was molded and re-designed in many forms, colors, and shapes, Marc Jacobs wanted his Noés to be completely different; more sleek and tinier, elegant and perfect for women.
The NN14 consists of several different models and types; from historical monograms to highly sophisticated designs. The extraordinaire are embellished with rare and precious materials like crystals, alligator leathers, sequins and studs for those who have a deeper pocket to spend. Even feathers were used to uplift the style.
