Yes, it happened again, though we had barely had time to recover from Chanel second price increase in July. So, how much are Louis Vuitton purses now after Louis Vuitton Worldwide Price Increase in October 2021?

This time the range of the increase seems to be from 5% to about 10% with the biggest increases being Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette and Pochette Accessories - 30% approximately.

The rise started in Australia with Louis Vuitton fans sharing the information about the percentage of the increase, then it hit the UK, and finally the States. Let’s see what the current Louis Vuitton prices look like.

As I have already mentioned, Mini Pochette and Pochette Accessoires are the ones that stand out in this price increase, and if in the States they went up by 21% and by 33% respectively, in Europe and in the UK there is almost no difference in percentage - 32% and 34% in Australia, and 33% in Europe. 

There is hardly anyone who can justify the price of Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette and Pochette Accessories, given how large the increases were in January. Assuming that another price increase comes in the spring of 2022, it’s likely both items will have doubled in price in less than 18 months. 

The fans of the brand can’t believe that Pochette Accessories is now over $1,000, as it is not even a bag. However, it got recategorized from SLG into a handbag last year, and probably that is how LV is justifying the aggressive price increases. Many say that it is a good functional piece, it is just not worth the current price, as it is a small canvas bag that doesn’t even come with a long strap option. Louis Vuitton could have at least added that at such a huge price tag. 

Another complaint is about Louis Vuitton Utility Crossbody - the price was too high for an item of this type before, but now it is incredibly overpriced. Besides, it is a little odd that the Monogram Canvas option is more expensive than the leather one. 

And, of course, Louis Vuitton Coussin is also at the center of the discussions on purse forums. It was introduced only in February this year, and already fell under the October price increase, and it didn’t go up by just 2-3%, but 10%. 

Another interesting thing to mention is that the price for Pochette Metis Monogram and Reverse was finally equalized at $2,360 in the US. In other regions, that already happened during the last price increase. 

Moreover, as you can see, now Alma BB and Neverfull PM cost the same across the globe. The style is completely different, with Alma being more elegant and Neverfull more versatile, but paying $1,620 for Alma BB that doesn’t fit as much as Neverfull PM seems unfair.

Which Louis Vuitton Items Didn't Go Up in Price? 

Here is the list of the pieces that didn't go up in price: Petite Malle, Key pouch, Kirigami set, Cosmetic pouch, Nice Mini, BB, and Nano. There haven’t been any changes to wallets, key holders, card holders, agendas, or other SLGs yet. It seems like this increase only hit bags and super-popular pieces. 

But we all know, grab them now if you want them, it means that the next price increase won’t spare them.

The common explanation for the price increase remains the same - all luxury brands have been facing price rises mainly due to the prices resellers get.
